A Youngtown Shooting Left 1 Dead: Police Searching for Suspect

YOUNGTOWN, Arizona — Officials are seeking the public’s help in finding a 37-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man late Thursday morning in Youngtown.


Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 11200 block of West Tennessee Avenue in Youngtown at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday and found a man with an apparent gunshot wound inside a home.


he man was pronounced dead, despite life-saving measures performed at the scene.


Deputies have had previous contact with people living at the home for unknown trouble and welfare calls, according to an MCSO press release. The office would not provide further information.


Officials identified the suspect as 37-year-old Anthony Romero and are asking for the public’s help in finding him.


Officials said the suspect is “armed and dangerous” now and that the public should not approach him.
